A Little Backstory...
Having worked in this industry for over 20 years, and specializing in curly hair for the last 10, I've learned a thing or two about texture...and none of the education I have learned since hair school was ever taught there.
Many clients visit the salon requesting a haircut and style so they can wear their natural texture everyday; only to leave disappointed with smooth, sleek hair they cannot replicate at home. This happens for two reasons.

Many Hair Stylists believe that people with curly hair want to wear their hair straight (eurocentric beauty standards I often talk about), but I know from experience behind the chair that this line of thinking is just not true. If clients had someone to guide them, 9/10 would wear their natural curls proudly. This is where you, the beauty professional can come to their rescue...
The education I offer could make up a massive chapter in cosmetology textbooks! I have designed curl-specific education for the professional Hair Stylist community, building a bridge to increased income and confidence working with natural textures. The end result is client satisfaction, retention and more referrals.
Initial results from my hands-on training class and online course for Hair Stylists have been inspiring and the responses have me excited about what lies ahead for the curly community and the stylists who care for their hair.

Training and Achievements
Since earning my professional license in 2003, I am constantly updating my education in curly hair by attending seminars and trainings all over the United States and Canada.
In 2019/2020 I was one of four Featured Stylists for CURL Magazine. I also served on the Advisory Board and the Stylist Panel. I continue to write articles educating the curly community about styling and maintaining curly hair.
